I first met Sara Canaday after my wife heard her talk on presenting oneself professionally in business. Over the two years of running my business (a technical consulting service) I had worked very very hard to get to where I was. I have always been a big believer in reinvesting in the business. With each dollar I reinvested, I became ever more successful. However, there was something missing. I felt like I could only go so far--projects and project budgets were beginning to plateau. This all became pretty obvious once I met Sara and read the book *Casual Power.*  

I needed help, and badly. Although I can think of many more pleasant things to do than shop for clothes, Sara confidently guided me through an image makeover that included talking about my goals and a new wardrobe: classy comfortable shoes, trousers and slacks, shirts and jackets, and even casual wear. I have been told that brown, grey, black, and navy blue are the universal attire colors for an interview. Recently, I heard that other colors such as red are considered power colors...

Red is indeed a power color, but I do not recommend that you wear a red suit on an initial interview. Even today, the most accepted colors for interview attire are these: black, navy, dark gray, and dark olive green, with black and navy taking the lead as the preferred colors...
